The day has finally arrived: my 7 year old’s last day of winter break. Vacation, fin.
Of course, it rained, snowed, and froze overnight. And since we live in Atlanta, the near frenzied grocery shoppers pretty much willed the forecast into reality yesterday. I should know, I accidentally went to Whole Foods in the afternoon. Mercy. *update* school is closed tomorrow because of below freezing temps. Vacation, cont’d.
Although, I shouldn’t dismiss the fear so easily considering Arden was born less than 24 hours before Snowpocolypse 2011, and we escaped the hospital mere hours before all of Atlanta truly froze over.
While I ponder snowed in activities (we Georgians get excited about a couple inches, but can only last so long outdoors), I am also attempting to create the Kimchi Belles January deck.
This month there shall be a smattering of food reviews, such as Park Avenue Deli & Market, and I’ll be using another trusty Scoutmob to give Honey Bubble a second try. Jin and I are also trying to schedule a lunch date sans babies at Ssam Burger.
I will also make a valiant attempt to document Arden’s 3rd birthday coming up on the 8th, though these types of lofty intentions have oft ended up as one-off pictures promising more, I shall even go so far as to say I will provide sourcing information for a fun “Adventure Kit” made up of some cool local Atlanta vendors and Etsy finds.
Is there anything you’d like to see on the blog that we haven’t covered yet?
To be completely honest, Jin and I hardly subscribe to any regular publications on/off line. The gift subscription from my mom to Martha Stewart Living has been piling up for months and all I make time for is a quick skim when it shows up in the mail. True story: I hardly ever even read my husband’s blog (though he reads all of mine! love!).
Therefore, we are pretty much making up the “strategy” as we go = your ideas are as good as ours! Hang, contribute, and laugh with us in 2014–we hope to share worthwhile content!
